  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

index.php not working unless I enter it manually

New Pleskian
Hello again,

How would I go about getting the DirectoryIndex settings to function properly? as of right now, if I type in just www.domain.com I get a 500 internal server error. If, however, I manually add index.php in the address bar, the page loads properly.

I've tried with nginx enabled as reverse proxy, and disabled.
Apache using fastcgi and the standard module.
mods-enabled/dir.conf looks like this: DirectoryIndex index.html index.php index.xhtml index.htm index.shtml (I removed ones that I'll never need).
I also tried adding a DirectoryIndex flag in vhost.conf

No matter what I try... 500 internal server error.

With the number of annoyances I've had to overcome at this point (not including my other 2 threads), I have to wonder and ask if plesk 11.5 is even production ready, and whether or not I wasted money on the 2 licenses I bought...

You will have to check your index.html file and when you are getting "500 internal server error " check your domain error_log file
