• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

individual php.ini files (for fastcgi) are not backed up and not restored

New Pleskian
Hello!

Plesk Panel 11.0.9 (upgraded from 10.4.4), Microupdate #31, OS Debian 6.0.6, Server: Intel Xeon E3-1245, Quad-Core, 16GB RAM, 3 TB HD, Softraid, enough free disk space (~90% free)

All of our vhosts have individual php.ini files and php is running under fastcgi. But pleskbackup do not backup the php.ini files and therefore we will loose the files, if we restore backups! We tried the following locations without luck:
- /var/www/vhosts/domain.tld/conf (as you say in another thread)
- /var/www/vhosts/domain.tld/etc (and if we synchronize a service plan, plesk overwrites this php.ini with a standard plesk php.ini file!)

php.ini file handling is buggy and unusable

Yes, i know about this way. But we have hundreds of domains with individual php.ini files and we are dependent on regular php.ini files because of our technical environment.

The php.ini file handling in Plesk is realy buggy and unusable.

- php.ini files in .../vhost/domain.tld/etc are not backedup!!!
- and if you change the service plan, plesk overwrites them by a standard php.ini file!!!

Your customers need a fix.

Thank you.

Hello!

We use fatcgi with Plesk 11 on Debian 6.

With fastcgi we cannot use custom php.ini files and putting the settings inside Plesk isn't the solution because
- php.ini files in .../vhost/domain.tld/etc are not backedup/restored!
- if you change the service plan, plesk overwrites the php-parameters (inside Plesk) and overwrites the php.ini file (in /vhost/domain.tld/etc) by a standard php.ini file!

This is a strange bug!

How can we use custom php settings? We have hundreds of domains with individual php.ini files!

Greetings from Germany!
