• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Internal links with anchors

Is there any way to insert an internal link in a page to another part of the page , also known as an anchor link?

Is there a way to easily edit the background html so this can be done manually?

It is possible to insert anchors with in Sitebuilder's wizard. Check Sitebuilder documentation:
http://download1.swsoft.com/SiteBuilder/3.0.2/doc/user/en_US/ -> Creating Site -> Creating Site Content -> Inserting Links -> Inserting Anchor.
After that during link creation select Link type: Archor in this page and set necessary archor name from drop-down menu.

As for the second question do you mean to edit the page manually on the server? Actually, you can use Sitebuilder script module. Using the SiteBuilder Script module, you can add your own Java Script or HTML code to your web pages. Or you want something else?

Thanks for that. That does answer both questions but we still have the pre 3 Linux version of Sitebuilder where these things don't seem doable. Is that the case?

Would you recommend the upgrade to v3? Is it a painful process? Hang on now that I think about it - SB3 doesn't run on our Red Hat 9 server. Is it easy to export users etc from v 2... and import to a new server (centos 4) if we install sitebuilder on a new server?

Actually, before performing upgrade I can suggest you to test v.3 some time. You can also do it on SWsoft website where demo version located. Also, it is better to read documentation to know more aspects about this product.
Sitebuilder v.3 have been changed a lot and not it looks much better and GUI very comfortable.
Upgrade should be done from v2.1.3 and actually it is not difficult one and not painful. In any case, before upgrade it is suggested to create Full backup for previous version of Sitebuilder, so you can always to get back 2.1.3 version.
Yes, that's right. There is no Sitebuilder v.3 for RedHat9. If you are going to migrate also to new server the procedure should be the following:
1. Create backup of Sitebuilder 2.1.3 on your old server.
2. Install 2.1.3 on new server
3. Restore backup from old server
4. Upgrade to new version.

In v2.1.3 there are special backup/restore utilities exists, but in Sitebuilder v.3 there is no backup/restore utilities. They should be available in next v.4 only.
