• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

ISAPI_Rewrite 3

Anything on this, I'm thinking this is what screws up our box when we install it so i'm holding off for now but without this Rewrite I can't go live on our new web server.

Why create a forum and sections in a forum if no one is going to answer questions?

Hi Chase,

The problem is quite likely that nobody else is using Isapi Rewrite 3 - or they've not experienced the problems, so have something better to do with their time. No offense, but your requests are awful vague, and don't lend themselves to much support.

How do you install it? I suspect they have an installer that you can use within RDP.

You may need to manually enable the ISAPI within each site that it is going to be used on, or you can use code that does it from this site:

Alternatively, try the forums for Isapi Rewrite 3, where you're more likely to see actual people using Isapi Rewrite 3 - and some of them, no doubt, are using Plesk 8.4.

If you do manage to get it going without a hitch, please let us know. I would like to have access to something like this that works reliably, and I think $99/server is perfectly reasonable. If it works. :)

There was no support requested per say. I requested if it is compatible now yes by requesting that means I have tried it and have had issues but I have been unable to identify the issue at hand and there for I have not posted the issue under the support section.

Seems the first issue I was having is because my Application Pools run in a 32 bit mode. I'm hoping someone with a little more working knowledge of the Plesk application would be able to try ISAPI Rewrite 3 and maybe post a KB or forum posting as they have done in the past to aid in the install process for customers.

ISAPI Rewrite 2 works great with Plesk 8.3 but I'm always looking to try new things so I have brought online a new Windows 2008 64bit box, Plesk 8.4 and ISAPI Rewrite 3.

We use ISAPI Rewrite with plesk without any problems, you need to make sure that plesk has psa_users have execute permissions to your ISAPI rewrite dll's though.

What is the error you are having, you are sure its not a permissions issue?
