• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Let's Encrypt not securing web mail subdomain - Plesk Onyx Windwos

kaiyaq

New Pleskian
I'm new to Plesk, running Onyx on Windows. My "webmail.domain.com" was secured using Let's Encrypt certificate but after 3 months it failed to renew automatically.

I manually renewed the certificate on the main domain which worked, but not for "webmail.domain.com"

I've tried renewing multiple times and securing web mail manually but I cannot get it to work. I tried removing the main SSL certificate on the domain but Plesk is not allowing me to do that either.

I'm using Mail Enable. How can I correct this?

Do I need to create the "webmail.domain.com" subdomain manually and secure it using Let's Encrypt?

Managed to work out why "webmail.domain.com" was not being secured, it was because I was using Mail Enable. I installed Horde and an option for securing web mail on the LE SSL Certificate screen became available, that did the trick.
