Question Limit the creation of Service plans for resellers

What I want to do
I want to create Service plans my resellers can use for their subscriptions, but that they are not able to create custom Service plans themselves.

Why?
So I'm able manage the resources of the server better, like CPU en memory usage with Cgroups. Now, the reseller can create his own Service plans with eg. unlimited storage space, unlimited CPU and unlimited memory and assign that to all of their sites. At this moment, I can not force my resellers to set limits so I don't have control of the usage of their websites.

I can't find how to configure this in Plesk. Isn't this available?

Hello,

Currently, it is possible to limit disk space usage only. To do so go to Service Plans > Reseller Plans, choose the appropriate plan, and in the Resources tab:

• Set resource limits (disk space, etc.)
• Set Overuse policy to “Overuse is not allowed”
• Set Overselling policy to “Overselling is not allowed”

The details are in this article.
CPU and RAM usage can be limited at the Service Plan or Subscription level only. It can be done using CGroups Manager as instructed in the documentation.
You can vote for the implementation of such limitations on the Reseller level on our UserVoice portal.

Thanks, resource limits like disk space are indeed possible to limit at reseller level.
But one of these should be possible so they can not oversell eg. CPU and memory:

• Set Cgroups limit for resellers which they can device among their own subscriptions. Just like eg. disk space.
• Don't give resellers the option to create their own service plans, but assign them predefined plans they can select for their own subscriptions.
