Question Lot of Spam E-Mails. Spamassasin is active

Hello,

in my Plesk Onyx i get a lot of spam E-Mails. Every day 5-10 in my Mailbox.

I had active Spamassasin and active SPF and active DNSBL Service see Screenshots in my uploaded files.
2 Weeks ago i had install the Addon MagicSpam but i get allready Spam E-Mails.

Can i make the Spamassasin better ? i hate the Spam E-Mails

On the server there is not really a better way to stop spam. There will always be spams that pass the filter. Spammers constantly work on the construction of mails that pass spam tests. A sensitivity below 3 will probably sort many regular mails out.

What you can do is to add rules in your local mail client that moves mails with certain subjects or keywords in subjects or texts into an extra folder or deletes them. You can also try to use a client side solution like Spamihiliator or others; e.g. see a list here: Anti-Spam Top 100 Downloads der Woche - CHIP

Thank you but the Problem is the most Time i'm not at Home and my Smartphone download via Imap the E-Mails and i think when the Smartphone ring it is a important E-Mails but it is Spam. Can i change the Spamassasin config and can make Keyword tu block like "vergleich, arzneimittel, topliste," ?

Did you know, that YOU have the choice to use ( sieve ) FILTERS, when you use IMAP ( with dovecot )? If your spamassassin - rules are not sufficient to filter spam - messages, you have always the choice to define additonal filters, which should suit your needs and desire very well!


In addition, pls. have a look at the following Plesk Community thread so inform yourself, how to add additional "RuleSets" ( which are far better than the single standart one! ;-)

Hi Tobihey,

I do not speak German but I see on screenshot switched off greylisting (Greylisting (Linux)). Also, I don't see a status of DMARC (DKIM, SPF, and DMARC Protection).

I think this options could help in fighting with incoming spam.
