  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Mail configuration problem

Hi,
I had a mail configuration problem, that is now solved apparently without reason.

I could not recieve any more mails, for all the domains in my server for which I was not master DNS. Qmail seemed to be running, and I reloaded it several times.

After some tentatives, I enable the master DNS (the domains should not have needed it), and it worked. Then I disabled it, and it still worked.

So I suppose that a side-effect of enabling the master DNS solved the problem. Still, I wonder what solved the problem (and what the problem was).

Any suggestions?
Andres

Have a look at /var/log/xinetd.log for the duration of the smtp connections.

I had to disable the reverse ip lookup (see another thread here in the forums) to solve this.

Perhaps it helps,

Andreas
