  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Mail quota

Hello,

I need advice on how to handle mail quotas on plesk 10.4.4 MU#20 on Linux.

I wish to offer service plans like "10 Mailboxes with 500MB space and 500MB webspace".
Now if only one user needs a bigger mailbox, I have to change ALL of them (in the service plan) or I can do it manually in the subscription, but I have to prevent service plan syncing then.

The desired functionality is: the customer may change the mailbox sizes, but he may not exceed the overall quota OR the customer may not change the mailbox size settings at all.
I tried deactivating "Ability to change mail settings" in the permission settings, but this does not seem to do anything. (what's it supposed to do? Theres nothing in the manual either; at least I could not find it).

any hints welcome...

regards, Tom
