  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question mariadb service is still in stop mode - SSH blocked by firewall

MedB

New Pleskian
Hello,

I just had a big problem and can't find a solution.

the mariadb service is still in stop mode on the repair panel. I restarted my server a number of times but without success and I clicked on restart processes and it is still in stop mode.

The problem is, I can't access SSH because the plesk firewall is blocking me all the time.

I can't find any solution. How can I do it please?

Thank you in advance

hello @MedB ,

if you have access to control panel you can install an extension called 'SSH Terminal'. It allows to access server via SSH right from your browser.
As it connects to the localhost from the server point of view - firewall should not block it.

If all that you have is a server with enabled firewall and stopped DB server (which leads to Plesk Panel malfunction)
then please follow instructions provided by LTUser: you have to boot your server in rescue mode (probably from rescue media)
and modify /usr/local/psa/var/modules/firewall/firewall-active.sh

you can add something like below
Code:
/usr/sbin/iptables -F
/usr/sbin/iptables -X
/usr/sbin/iptables -Z
/usr/sbin/iptables -P INPUT ACCEPT
/usr/sbin/iptables -P OUTPUT ACCEPT
/usr/sbin/iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT
exit 0;
to the beginning and try restart your server.
