• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Migrate email data

pilleee

New Pleskian
Hello people,

I know this is probably the wrong topic, because it's not really laravel-related - but does anyone of you know of a script to migrate Email storage?
I have an Imap server running which I have to move entirely to a new server with plesk on it. The worst solution (which is actually running right now) is setup the old and the new Imap account in Thunderbird and copy messages from old to new account. Since the mailboxes are pretty big, this is really slow, because all the mails are downloaded to local network in between.
Is it possible to do the same - but directly on the server which receives the new data? E.g. a script which does the same and just runs until everything is finished?
E.g.: I dont have access to the raw old email data - so just copying the raw mboxx/maildir data is not possible.

Thanks for any help
pille
