  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Migrate Plesk servers

We have few Plesk 7.5.6 and 7.6.1 Windows servers at somewhere. We want to switch to ThePlanet and they are offering new version of Plesk only.

Infact new version of Plesk does not allow backups to be restored from older version that is why need older version of Plesk or any such untility which can help us to transfer old plesk data to new one.

Also advise, if Plesk for Windows support any migration utility which we can use to transfer the old Plesk server in to new Plesk server like Migration Manager in Linux.

Hi,

Actually plesk backups are backward-compatible and it is possible to restore backups that were made from older versions with Plesk backup utility.

What error did you get while restore?

Also look into knowledge base section related to Backup/restore:

Migration also possible with PMM:
