• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Migration and Transfer Manager: very slow

tkalfaoglu

Silver Pleskian
I'm moving domains from a fairly idle (load average < 2) PLESK 10 server, to an empty PLESK 12 server (load average < 0.5).
I used the Plesk 12 gui, went into migration and transfer manager, chose selective, and selected a client with 23 domains - none of those are very big ( < 100MB each)
It has taken 30 minutes to go from 0% progress to 100% progress.
It's now at 100%, for almost 3 hours now.
When I click on the migration, says "deploying xxxxxx.com" , which gradually changes from xxxxx yyyyy, about every 30 minutes.

I'm scared; I still have 500 domains to move. How can I speed this molasses up?

When it finally finished, I started a new one, this time 23 domains.
So far it's been "running" for over 4 hours. With the machine sitting idle...
Is there anything I can do? HELP!

I thought perhaps the network was an issue.. although the two servers are on the same gigabit LAN (!)..

So I ran PleskX.pl --dumpall on the old server and put the entire resulting directory (yes including hidden files+dirs like .discovered) onto the new plesk 12 server. Went into the Migration & Transfer manager in GUI, specified the directory where the files are, and firefox told me that "the page is redirecting improperly" and when I clicked on the Home icon, I found this error message on top:
Error: Unable to convert local dump: Dump does not exist in repository

Why is it unable to find the dump?
