• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Migration manager can't login

I have Plesk 10 on a Windows Server 2008 Web Edition and Plesk 7.6 on a Windows Server 2003 Web Edition. I have installed migration agent on Windows 2003 Server. I filled in the migration settings and after clicking on Next button I see error message: Wrong login or password.

I am sure Migration Manager is able to connect on migration agent on another server because I passed through other error messages before getting to this.

I am sure Administrator password is corret and I have even tried simpler passwords than I usually use, but the message is always the same.

Has anyone experienced this?

Migration Handler Log

In migration handler file I can see some errors:

1. There are many error related to missing files. Below is an example.

2788: 2011-09-09 16:34:48,454 WARNING Session data object file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\PMM\msessions\20110904185708552\objects_list' does not exist

2. The last errors shown in log is below (I removed server name and admin password)

2172: 2011-09-09 16:35:46,611 INFO Subprocess raised ExecuteException: Subprocess <subprocess[4356] 'C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Parallels\\Plesk\\PMM\\Migration\\migrmng --deploy-scout --host= --login=Administrator --password= --session-path=C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Parallels\\Plesk\\PMM\\msessions\\20110909163541716 --dumps-dir=C:\\temp\\20110909163541716 --system-type=windows'> was finished with exit code 15

Until now I have found no workaround for this.

Could you check "C:\Program Files\Parallels\PleskMigrationAgent\WINAgentMng.RemotingDomain.log"?
It contains more information about errors.

Solved

Thanks to everybody which has contibuted to this thread.

On source server (server where I will copy accounts from), I clicked on Start, Administrative Tools, Local Security Policy. I opened folder Local Policies, clicked on User Rights Assignment and then double clicked on Access this server from the network. Then I added the server administrator account.

If it doesn't work for you, you may also need to follow steps below:
