• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Migration within Proxmox from Debian 9 to Debian 11

tacriela

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Debian 9.13.0
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.44
I want to migrate from Plesk Debian 9 to Plesk Debian 11, but since I only have one server with limited space, I dont know how/if this is possible. How would the migration work if I have a VM hosting environment (Proxmox) and I open two VM's on which I install Plesk? Will this be possible?

ideally you would want to have both running and do a migration. If you do not have enough space then the next best thing would be to use plesk backup to make a full backup of the server, nuke the vm, build new vm with everything up to date, then import in the backup file.
