Add/Edit MIME-Types

Hi everyone,

I only wanted to ask how I can add/edit the MIME-Types in Plesk 8, because when I click on a downloadlink I only see the source text of the file but i can't really download it.

Hope you cann tell me how to edit the MIME types.

I think you may need to have the host do this for you by editing the httpd.conf file with your new MIME TYPE. PLESK used to have a feature like this but it appears to have been removed, can anyone enlighten us?

There are several places you can add mime types. The system global list is /etc/mime.types (at least on my CentOS boxes), you could use that. You can also use AddType in apache config files (httpd.conf for all domains, vhost.conf for a particular domain, maybe you can even use .htaccess?).
