  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Modsecurity Broken from time to time

hostking

Regular Pleskian
Hi guys

We seem to notice that modsecurity keeps breaking with every Pleks update or modsecurity updates.
When we check event viewer we notice it stops blocking attacks using modsecurity. We then have to disable modsecurity, run plesk repair db -y just fro good measure and then do the following:

Go to c:\program files(x86)\plesk\Modsecurity
rename old vhosts folder to vhostsold
then reenable modsecurity via plesk panel
then edit the folder and go to security and ensure psacln group has read and write permissions to the folder and subfolders recursively.
When we then check event viewer after doing above all works well for a few weeks. Then it randomly on some day happens again and breaks.

I have now resorted to disabling updates for modsecurity rules but I dont think its that. I think its the plesk updates in my opinion as it happened on one server now that it modsec rule updates was disabled on.

Any ideas?
