Move existing domain from one subscription to a new one

aeboi80

New Pleskian
I have the domain of clientdomain.com that is currently under mydefaultdomain.com (mydefaultdomain.com is the default domain) within Plesk.

I need to move clientdomain.com to its own subscription, however when I try to create a new subscription I'm presented with a screen asking me to type in the domain name and since the domain already exists on the server their is no way to create a new subscription.

What is the process to move a domain from one subscription to a new subscription on the same server?

Ultimately I need this user to have a unique login for plesk and control panel.

Thanks,

Chad

You can change subscriber for domain but not subscription. As possible workaround you can temporary rename domain, then create subscription for needed domain and move all content from renamed domain to new. After that you can remove old renamed domain.

Confused

How can I change the subscriber for the domain if plesk won't let me create a new new subscriber without specifying a domain name?

This client is trying to leave us. They are going to be hosted with cPanel on their new host. In order to migrate files I need the clientdomain.com to be on its own unique username and not just a sub folder of mydefaultdomain.com

I do not understand you.
You have subscriber. You have subscription for domain. Select this subscription, click "Change subscriber" button and select new subscriber in list. Why you can't create subscriber without any subscription? Just do not use "Create subscription for the customer" checkbox.
