  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

mpm-itk Joomal sym links not working

Basic Pleskian
Hello

I have installed the mpm-itk mod on my ubunto vps plesk 10.2 to run php as a user. this works well and for each domain PHP runs as the Plesk ftp user which makes sense. However I have a number of symbolic links between domains and these are no longer working due to permissions problems. Basically I have one domain which contains a large library of pdf files and these are shared to the other domains. This was working okay when the user was www-data however with mpm-itk this has stopped.

I have tried editing vhost.conf with a variety of syntax but I havent managed to get anywhere. All very confusing some posts are including quotes others are not so I have tried all of the below. can anyone see what I'm doing wrong.

I have also created a symbolic link using winscp and tried changing the permissions on that.

#Alias /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/images/stories/pdf /var/www/vhosts/another.co.uk/httpdocs/pdf
#<Directory /var/www/vhosts/another.co.uk/httpdocs/pdf>
# AllowOverride None
# Options All
# order allow,deny
# allow from all
#</Directory>

#<Directory /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/images/stories/pdf/>
#Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
#AllowOverride None
#Order allow,deny
#allow from all
#</Directory>

Alias /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/images/stories/pdf/ "/var/www/vhosts/another.com/httpdocs/pdf/"
<Directory "/var/www/vhosts/another.com/httpdocs/pdf/">
Options Indexes MultiViews FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride None
Order deny,allow
Deny from all
Allow from 127.0.0.0/255.0.0.0 ::1/128
</Directory>

Thanks
Paul
