• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

I was initially having troubles with plesk adding domain names to microsoft dns, so I decided to upgrade plesk to the new 8.4 and install the BIND dns server. After restarting the system, I'm now not able to pull up the control panel due to the following error:

ERROR: PleskMainDBException
<b>Source:</b> Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server<br/><b>Description:</b> [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

0: C:\Program Files (x86)\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\plib\common_func.php3:594
db_mssql_connection()
1: C:\Program Files (x86)\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\plib\common_func.php3:623
reconnect()
2: C:\Program Files (x86)\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\plib\common_func.php3:584
db_connect()
3: C:\Program Files (x86)\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\auto_prepend\auth.php3:79

The service MMC shows the SQL Server as Started. Any would be greatly appreciated.
