  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Multiple DNS Extensions?

Mark Bailey

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible or advisable to run two DNS extensions simultaneously? For example, we'd like to utilize the DigitalOcean DNS extension, which now seems to work the way we want it to (syncing automatically). But we also hate to put all our DNS in one vendor's basket. So would it be possible to do something like this:

DigitalOcean DNS extension + Slave DNS extension (linked to 2-3 of our own name servers)

That way, all zones would be automatically synced to DO and our own servers.

Is something like this a good idea or a potential conflict?

Thanks,

Mark
