  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

MySQL and PLESK

Having purchased a basic key (no MSSQL) and recently installed PLESK for Windows.

I would now like to set up a MySQL database but have been unable to get MySQL started. I am familiar with MySQL as I have already set it up on a RAQ server.

Does the fact that I have not purchased an upgrade key for MSSQL prevent me from using MySQL or is there something else in PLESK preventing me from starting / configuring MySQL?

Mysql should work. The Mssql license is as the name says only for Mssql.

Mysql works perfectly on my serveres without the Mssql license,

Thanks for your reply.

I've tracked down phpMyAdmin within plesk, I was totally unaware that MySQl was alreaduy built in to PLESK until I found the folder then I was trying to access it the same way as I did on the RAQerver via the command line but with no luck.

I've worked it all out now, thanks for you help.
