  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Mysql still in 3.23 after 8.1 upgrade

New Pleskian
Hi !

I don't know if it's the right way, but after doing an upgrade of my plesk to 8.1 (from 8), mysql is still in version 3.23 instead of 4.x as announced.

Any idea ?
Thanks !

OK fine !
Is it a "dangerous" operation ?
I mean, I will backup everything, but is there a way the databases could be broken during the upgrade ?
Should I upgrade first to 4.x then to 5.x or directly to 5.x ?

I would stick with MySQL 4.1... I don't think art has a 5.x build....

It's not dangerous, unless you have scripts which require MySQL 3.x :p
