  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question MYSQL Upgrade

David R

New Pleskian
Hi all

New here so bear with!

I want to upgrade the vBulletin forum that we use to the latest version, but before I can do that I need to upgrade MYSQL as the minimum requirements are v5.5.8 (minimum).

I inherited this system and my Linux knowledge is pretty much zero (I am a new-age windows person!), does anyone know of any good step by step guides that I can follow? I will snapshot before I begin but I would like to do some reading before hand. Also, any gotchyas to look out for would be much appreciated. the server is running Ubuntu 14.04.1

Thanks

Dave
