  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Need help setting up my DNS server

Hi. I just recently ordered a domain: liltechdude.com from 1and1. I would like to use my own DNS server (on my server using plesk where the site will be hosted) instead of 1and1s nameservers. I am a bit confused at what information I need to give 1and1 in regards to how to get to my nameserver that is hosted on my server. Is this possible? I tried giving them ns1.liltechdude.com but the problem is, they are the register for liltechdude.com. It won't let me set the nameserver to the IP of my server. I must be doing something wrong.

Any help will be appreciated.
