I have a new dedicated server with 1and1. While setting up a new domain in Plesk yesterday, all my sites went offline showing only a 502 error page.
Within Plesk was an error telling me to reconfigure all, which I did through the Plesk control panel and via ssh. The result was the following error:
Template_Exception: nginx: [emerg] socket() [2001:8d8:960:6900::99:da3c]:443 failed (24: Too many open files) nginx: configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf test failed file: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/Template/Writer/Webserver/Abstract.php line: 75 code: 0 nginx: [emerg] socket() [2001:8d8:960:6900::99:da3c]:443 failed (24: Too many open files) nginx: configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf test failed
I then ran bootstrapper.sh, which fixed the problem.
This problem was escallated to Paralells, but as the sites on my server were online at the time, I don't think anything was done.
Now, if I make the smallest of changes in Plesk, such as even just creating an email address, all my sites go offline again, and I have to run bootstrapper.sh to get them back.
I assume the host template become corrupted every time it is re-written?
I can't get through to 1and1 dedicated server support, as all their support lines are currently down in the UK.
If anyone can suggest something else I could try?
