• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question New PleskX 12.5 without 5.6 FastCGI & python support?

Rolf Neijman

New Pleskian
Hello all together,

I have changed my 1und1 root-server from "CentOS 6" mit Plesk 12.5 (64 Bit) to "CentOS 7" mit Plesk 12.5 (64 Bit)

But my tgz backup makes two problems:

Warning 1:
The PHP handler 5.6 FastCGI application (id=fastcgi) is not available. Instead, Plesk will use 5.6.27 FastCGI application (id=plesk-php56-fastcgi) for the following websites: ***.de
Warning 2:
python is not supported. It will be unavailable for the following websites: ***.de

How can I enable the PHP handler 5.6 and python? About the plesk Interface or ssh?

/usr/local/psa/bin/php_handler --list says

plesk-php56-cgi 5.6.27 5.6.27 5.6 cgi /opt/plesk/php/5.6/bin/php-cgi /opt/plesk/php/5.6/bin/php /opt/plesk/php/5.6/etc/php.ini true enabled

Thanks for your help

Hi,

go to tools & settings - updates & upgrades. There you can check for (and install if needed) python and (multiple) php versions.

Cheers,
Tom
