  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

No root user in mysql.user table in mysql server

GrzegorzSS

New Pleskian
Hello

I tried to change password for root user but it turned out that user doesn`t exist in mysql.user

How in PLESK I can logon to mysql server and grant permission to user in database ?

Is the username is diffrent in plesk ?

Regards,
Greg

The "root" user is named "admin" for the MySQL - database, when you use Plesk.

The easiest way to login to MySQL over the terminal is ( as user root ): mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow`
