  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Onyx problems

Peter-

Basic Pleskian
Hey guys,

I need to install a SSL Cert for one of my domains ... to realise SSL settings have vanished. Yeeey.

I then search good old google to find out it's related to some permissions. So I edited those (everythng is checked) but I'm still seeing "Permission denied" when clicking on "apache & nginx" settings (even though I'm logged in as admin (root)).

How's this possible?

Secondly, I cannot login as subscription. Checked username and password (in hosting access?!?!).

Can anyone help me?

I'm spending HOURS with every plesk update ..........

Thanks

Also, getting this error when trying to create a new subscription: Error: Unable to create a subscription: the IP pool is empty.

Everything was fine until today ...

Hi Peter-,

Did you consider to have a look at the logs, to investigate if there were issues/errors/problems during an update/upgrade?

Plesk invented as well a pretty good "Plesk repair utility", which can be used to fix quite a lot of issues. ;)

Plesk is supposed to be a visual tool, looking at logs from console shouldn't be a recommended option.

I was able to access my apache settings after clicking on refresh components (not sure why) then used the repair utility to fix the horde problem. The only thing I did to "break" all my sites was to install and activate a SSL certificate and it affected many of my clients during that timeframe as they load some iframes on their websites from my server.

All their loaded pages showed my horde login.

Can I safely downgrade to plesk 12? I just don't think Onyx is mature enough at this point.

I just noticed none of my emails from this server are being sent out.

I have a couple of pop/smtp accounts connected to gmail and whenever I hit reply to a support email, I'm getting this error:
