• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

OS Migration

I've contacted Plesk support re: this and it's not a currently supported migration path.

I'm hoping perhaps that someone out there in the real world has encountered this or maybe has a good idea?

I currently am running on FreeBSD 4.9 with PSA 7.0.4, build 040728.18 and need to get some of my domains to Windows 5.2 with PSA 7.0.2 Build 040921.10

Some of these domains need to be on the windows environment for a few good reasons (integration with our security environment, asp.net etc) I've purchased the 7.0 license, have it running etc. I just need to get the domain over.

The backup / restore function is not the same across the two OSes- so I can't do the backup / restore approach. :(

Anyone have any good ideas as to how I can do this without having someone rekey all of the stuff?

(I've submitted this as an enhancement request through Plesk support, btw)

Thanks to the collective!

Regards,
-William
