  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Parallels Power Panel and FTP

Bluesurf

New Pleskian
The file manager within the Power Panel cannot handle the large file that I seek to upload to my server. I need to use a FTP/Filezilla. But, I cannot see how to configure the FTP client within the Parallels Power Panel. I tried to use my ssh password and root user to access the server with the FTP client, but the connection is refused. How can I set up the FTP permissions under the Power Panel?

Hi Bluesurf,

root users should never have the configured rights to use FTP. Instead, you should use SFTP/SCP.

If you insist on using FTP with the root user, you may follow the official documentation for ProFTPd:
