• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue pem agent not running on IIS node

Riccardo

New Pleskian
Hello,

I have a problem with a node in my Plesk infrastructure. The agent does not start. If I try to use the command

"net start pem" I get "The service name is invalid. More help is available..."

Trying ppa.sn_test --ip 1XX.XXX.XX.32 fails with same error:

[19 Jul 2017 04:19:11 CEST][ERROR] - The 'pem' service is not running. Please start the service manually. To start 'pem' service: connect to '1XX.XXX.XX.32' and run 'net start pem' from the command line.

Is it possible to reinstall the agent or service?

Thanks.
Riccardo

I think you should ask this question on the Odin forum. PPA is Odin product, not Plesk.

Good morning, thanks for your answer. But PPA is not the acronym of Parallels Plesk Automation? I think the skills for the solution to my problem are present in this forum... Anyway I will still follow your advice.

Good day
