  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Permission Problem with PleskcontrolPanel.config

Emyvision

New Pleskian
Hello Dear Community

I actually got a little Problem on my virutal Windows Server where Plesk Panel is running. I recently change some Permissions in C:\Inetpub. I know now that that wasnt a good idea. When i try to connect my Plesk Panel, following error message appears: HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.

I found that appcmd.exe shows the apppool "PleskControlPanel" is stopped. I start it and try to connect again, the same error appears and its stopped again.

In windows error logs i see five equal errors about missing permissions to this file: '\\?\C:\inetpub\temp\apppools\PleskControlPanel.config'.

I checked the permission and tried and tried! no changes. The problem is that i dont know with which user PP works on my virtual maschine. so i set nearly all users from my system as owner of this file (dont worry i'm the only one working here).

i still got the same error.

does anybody knows how to help me or can someone tell me which user/service needs permission to this file?

Thanks a lot,
Philipp
