  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk 10.3.1 - 500 error- php-cgi.exe

Hi everyone,

I have a Plesk 10.3.1 Windows server which is giving me a Internal Error every once in a while. Its completely random but the 500 error is

-----------------------
HTTP Error 500 - Internal Server Error
C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin\php-cgi.exe - The FastCGI process exceeded configured activity timeout.
Error code 0x80070102
------------------------

IIS forums say to edit the fcgiext.ini file which is in C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv but none of the Plesk server have this file. There also isn't a Fast CGI icon in IIS7.

I have also done a Plesk repair and double checked permissions and IIS setting for the site PleskControlPanel. I compared this with a working server. Other sites running PHP do not produce this error at all, just the plesk pages.

Has anyone ever seen this before ? Or can anyone recommend something else I should check .

Refreshing the Plesk Control panel page a few times clears out the error by the way. I attached a screen shot of the error.

Thanks

You should check %plesk_dir\admin\logs\php_error.log and %plesk_dir\admin\logs\panel.log for anything suspicious.
500 error can be caused by different reasons, it is hard to say, why you have such error.
