  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Plesk 10.5.x backup manager stop working after error message

Patric

New Pleskian
hello dear plesk team and dear user community

When we need to make a backup in backup manager (full or incremental), plesk always showing the follwing error message:

Not all the data was backed up into /var/lib/psa/dumps/domains/XXX.XX successfully. tar: option requires an argument – 'T' Try 'tar --help' or 'tar --usage' for more information.

XXX.XX is normally a domain name...

After that only settings and stuff is backed up, the files are not backed up.

The problem is only in 1 of 4 webspaces.

Plesk version 10.5.3

hope you can help me, thanks

Best regards

Patric

An additional idea: If that issue occurs with only a single domain, it could maybe related to a file or directory name that includes invalid special characters like a single quote. When tar is executed, a quote in a source file or directory name can lead to a misinterpretation of tar command line parameters.
