• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk 10 Migration from IIS

Hi All,

Okay, I have been reading the administrators manual and many posts and thought I understood how to migrate items using the "Migration Manager" that comes with Plesk 10, but I am am having no luck.

So I figured I would try here.

Before I go into any great detail, I will ask this simple question.

I currently have an IIS web server (Not Plesk or any other kind of control panel software installed) running on Windows 2000. I have a newly created server running Windows Server 2008 R2 with Plesk Panel 10 running on it.

Let us assume for the moment everything is configured properly and everything is running as expected.

Is it possible to use the Plesk "Migration Manager" to transfer my existing Windows 2000 IIS sites to the new Windows 2008 R2 Plesk server?

Depending on the answer here I may have more but lets start with this.
