  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

plesk 11 dns update event not firing

tiretz

New Pleskian
Hi All,

I would like to set up some event handlers for when changes are made to the dns, but I am having trouble getting the script to be called.

At this point, I have two scripts ( 'Administrator information updated' and 'Domain DNS zone updated' ). Both scripts call a shell script that appends a line to a log file in the /tmp directory.

When I make a change to the Administrator profile, the script gets called and the line is added to the log file. When I change a DNS entry and click on the update button, nothing happens. I can see in the messages log file that the dns entries have been changed and the dns server is told to reload.

Am I using the wrong event for dns changes?

regards

Justin.
