  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi all,

currently i have plesk 7.4 on windows 2003, i want to update it to 8.2 or 8.3 with new hardware + OS (Windows 2003 R2), is there any known problems/suggestions

hello,

it would be better to upgrade step by step and did beckup on all steps. So I advice oyu to upgrade to Plesk 7.6 first af all, install all patches for Plesk 7.6 and then perform upgrade to Plesk 8.2 or 8.3.

If you need to upgrade existing Plesk 6.5, 7.0 or 7.5 for Windows you should upgrade your installation to Plesk 7.5.6+ and then to Plesk 7.6.1 before upgrading to Plesk 8.2/8.3.
