Plesk 8.2 and ports

Hi,

I plan to open the following ports for my webserver with Plesk 8.2.

HTTP 80
SSL 443
FTP 21
DNS 53
POP3 110
SMTP 25
MSSQL 1433
MySQL 3306
SmarterMail 9998
Plesk 8880,8443
Terminal Server 3389

Is it ok?

hello,

It would be better to add port of FTP 20, 53 (domain service). Also it you would like to migrate Plesk check the article below to found out what ports need to be open for PMM:

MSSQL 1433
MySQL 3306
Those 2 are really dangerous to left open.
At least use rules on router or proxy to configure IP subnets , or protect those ports from several attacks

If yyou are not planning to connect to mysql or mssql from outside just close them
