• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Basic Pleskian
Hi All,

Anybody's come across this kind of weird problem...
My server (Plesk 9.5) goes totally blackout but you can ping
rest everything is down :
Http - Down
FTP - Down
mySQL - Down
Apache - Down
Cp access : 8443 - Down

SSH - Down

Even ssh goes down... i am unable to trace what is causing it..

Resources : 50 % of ram is free all the time
Storage : 30 % free

I have no clue where to start with.. any body can give me ideas.. what could this be causing..
I have to call or write hosting service provider and ask for a "Power Cycle Boot".. Once the power cycle happens everything is back to normal..

I am clueless at the moment.. any suggestion is appreciated..

Thanks

Most probably there was lack of free diskspace. Check it at least.

Also check to make sure that the services are actually down - if you have console access or the next time it happens ask your service provider to check locally via console. its possible the network card is having issues or something along those lines so that it apepars the entire box went down even though its still running and is just unreachable due to network issues.
