Plesk Default Page Showing On All Sites

RodneyL

New Pleskian
I spent quite a while in the Plesk admin guide, and reading through the forums trying to work out a problem where the “Welcome to Plesk†default pages where persistently showing on all sites. I resolved the issue, and thought I’d share. There was no bug or server malfunction. No DNS issues. The issue originated between the ears. :)

If you host multiple domains, Make sure your server’s IPv4 address is set to “shared†Tools and Settings>IP Addresses>IP
Your IP is dedicated to your vps server, but you may have several domains sharing it.

Make sure DNS Recursion is set to “localnets†Tools and Settings>DNS Template Settings>DNS Recursion.
The IP address on which the website is hosted is a “network address†of the website's virtual host.

While troubleshooting the issue, in all active subscriptions, I set IPv6 to “none†to take IPv6 out of play. It also removes much AAAA record clutter from DNS Settings.

From a file structure and organization standpoint, I found that hosting one domain per subscription works best for me. Unless the domain is just a redirect, or sub-domain.

Hope this helps anyone who may encounter the issue…
