  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk firewall rules

Regular Pleskian
Hi all,

Can anyone advise if it is possible to modify the default rules which Plesk seems to keep reloading back into the firewall?

The first rule in the default ruleset is preventing large file transfers on one of our RHES3 servers:

-A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp ! --tcp-flags SYN,RST,ACK SYN -j REJECT --reject-with tcp-reset

Curiously, this is not a problem on other OS's, only RHES3.

Anyone know if and how we can remove that line from the default ruleset?

Thanks.

Hi Chris,

why don't you change the firewall-active.sh script in the directory /usr/local/psa/var/modules/firewall?

Ed.
