  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Plesk Firewall - unable to access server RDP FTP from IPV6 address

Krammig

New Pleskian
Due to an ISP outage at my user end - where I have been using a static IP to access my VPS running Plesk Obsidian 18.0.30 and Ubunti 18.04 - I have had to connect via a 4G fallback for several days and several days still to go.

The 4G fallback is only providing an IPV6 address and as such the Plesk Firewall seems to be blocking me on both FTP and RDP and SSH

I have gone into the Firewall settings and added my IPV6 address in addition to the original IPV4 address that was in there as an allowed source however this does not seem to have altered the situation, still cannot get access.

If I disable the firewall I can access to both RDP and FTP fine from my external IPV6 address here. Firewall On = no access.

Have done a bunch of reading and tried various things but still no go.

Suggestions please ?
Thanks
