  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Plesk hosting subdomain only

is there a way to have Plesk host a subdomain only without hosting the www address and/or adding the subdomain as a ServerAlias ?

I've seen a couple threads on this but no definite answers.

Presumably the DNS is hosted elsewhere and you're pointing the subdomain at your Plesk server, which is why you want to configure the subdomain only.

Have you tried just adding a domain as sub.domain.com?

If I add a domain called domain.co.uk then plesk creates www.domain.co.uk and domain.co.uk. I don't have to create co.uk first and run domain.co.uk as a subdomain.

Have't tried it but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
