I have now used Plesk for over 3 years, and started out with Plesk 7 for Unix. After some problems, I realized that email support option was mandatory. I know Parallels had some issues with Plesk software, but after upgrading to 8 there was almost zero incidents. After upgrading to 9, there was no problems with upgrading each release.
I have never had problems with upgrading the software after version 8, and it seems that Debian users still have issues with Plesk. Luckily, I use Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11 with a Dell 2U rack (3 years now - no hw/sw issues so far. And for the permformance - no problems).
So my opinion with Plesk, I love it. Plesk 9 is amazing, especially 9.21.
