• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk Mysql Service Failure

Hello,

I have been trying to get the mysql service working on my server. The original problem was that the plesk mysql service would not start. It said it could not start because it was disabled. I checked and it was set for auto, and manually starting it led to the same error.

After many hours of messing with it I figured I would remove the service and reinstall it. Now I just dont have the service at all. Plesk still shows the mysql server, but it wont let me do anything to it. I was unable to modify it before I removed it.

Trying to add a new server fails because it says the old one is conflicting.

I do have a regular sql express service running, but im not sure if that has anything to do with this plesk issue.

So...how can I get plesk to be friends with SQL again?

Running psa v8.6.0_build20080722.15 os on windows server 2008 64bit

Thanks to all!
