  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk on AWS, Domain Registered with GoDaddy

CalmComputing

New Pleskian
Hi All,

I'm working to setup Plesk on AWS (with an elastic ip) which has so far been successful. What I want to do now (if possible) is have one of my domains which is registered with GoDaddy (and has many subdomains) be pointed to the Plesk server so that all the DNS records (and subdomains) are handled by Plesk. This same domain name uses Google Apps for email, drive, etc. so I think I would need to migrate the mx records over as well.

Can I just leave the mx records as they are, change the A record for the host (@) to point to the Plesk AWS and recreate the subdomains on the Plesk? Or is there a better way to go about this?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian
