  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

pleskrestore didn't read settings from created map file

Basic Pleskian
Hello,

I'm trying to restore backup file from PSK 9.5.4 -> PSK 9.5.4, but i still without luck.
I create the map file, and change the destination IP to new one (-> 14.14.14.14 exclusive, already up/free and ready to use on new server). However pleskrestore script return error messages each time with bad IP address (from backup).
He is trying to restore backup with IP from first server (which is not configured with this server).
After setup IP from old server on new machine, backup is restored correctly.

Commands without luck:
1. pleskrestore --create-map user.tar -map user.map
2. EDIT user.map and change:
[ip-map]
13.13.13.13 exclusive -> 14.14.14.14 exclusive (IP 14.14.14.14 is up on the server)
3. pleskrestore --restore user.tar -map user.map -level clients
4. ERROR

Commands with success:
1. add IP 13.13.13.13 to the new server, type exclusive
2. pleskrestore --create-map user.tar -map user.map
3. pleskrestore --restore user.tar -map user.map -level clients
4. SUCCESS

Seems that pleskrestore DIDN'T read changes from user.map file!

OS: Fedora 11 32bit, Plesk 9.5.4, backup created on Plesk 9.5.4

Regards,

It seems that backup is unusable in 9.5.4 version of Plesk, sad.
