• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesks ports could use some work.

to start with Paralles removes support for freebsd-5.5 can claims to only support 6x now, however the psa admin will not start without libcrypt.so.2 and libcrypto.so.3, those are both freebsd5x-stable files and If anyone has a system with 6x on it will find that 6x uses at leaset libcrypt.so.3 and libcrypto.so.4 a simple symlink will fix this, but If it were actually tested on the supported hardware it should have been noticed.

the psa-horde psa-imap psa-ingo psa-kronolith psa-turba and other children psa webmin ports, need to be modified to rm the $PSAROOT/psa-horde/$appname/config/ directory before trying to install the file $PSAROOT/psa-horde/$appname/config .

the Makefile for psa-rubyrails-configurator specifies RUN_DEPENDS+= ${LOCALBASE}/libexec/apache20/mod_fcgid.so:${PORTSDIR}/${CATEGORIES}/psa-mod-fcgid-configurator

without reguard to apache22,

Those are a few of the snags I ran into, but all in all the upgrade is done, wasn't as much a headache as some previous. Thanks Parallels.
