POP and SMTP settings

What are the POP and SMTP settings for the mailbox accounts i create for a domain. cant seem to find this information. I have tried inserting POP.mydomain.com and SMTP.mydomain.com but it doesnt work. any help appreciated.

it depends on your DNS. You need an entry that points to your Plesk server. I think www.yourdomain.com would work, but check your DNS for the more logical names.

I tried putting the www prefix instead of POP and SMTP but the mails bounce with this error message

553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)

Settings and Test message worked Ok when generated by Outlook though!

SMTP & POP3

I am having the same trouble. Each of my domains on the same server can send e-mail via SMTP to each local domain but cannot send out (e.g. to hotmail or comcast) without recieving the rcpthosts error.

Oddly enough, everything works fine when sent from the webmail interface (e.g. not SMTP or IMAP).

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Settings and Test message worked Ok when generated by Outlook though

Maybe your settings passed all the test in outlook but you can't send messages that's possible ...

try as pop server: yourdomain.com
as smtp server: mail.yourdomain.com
